This farm was founded in Morro
d'Alba during the sixties by Stefano Mancinelli.
Since then, the main target of this farm has been the search
for quality through a careful selection of the production
and the constant updating of the techniques concerning the
tilling of the land and the works in the cellar.
The vineyards of the Mancinelli Farm are specialised for the
production of d.o.c. wines: the Lacrima di Morro d'Alba is
an excellent red wine and perhaps is the most famous wine of
this farm.
Mancinelli produces also two types of Verdicchio: the
Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico and TheVerdicchio
dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva.
Pale yellow with greenish tones, this wine has a fresh and
delicate bouquet with a quite good structure and good
freshness, widespread savour and the typical slightly
bitterish aftertaste.
Thanks to its climate and good exposure, Santa Maria del
Fiore by Morro d'Alba, seat of the vineyards, is perfect for
the vine-growing.
In order to obtain the best results, the quality of the
produced grapes for each vineyards has been reduced. The
processing of the grapes takes place in the farm's cellar,
which was renewed and widened in 1978. Besides the
traditional methods, the wine-making is carried out by very
modern technologies and equipment.
A particular attention must be dedicated to the cultivation
of the olive tree that is still carried out manually by the
Mancinelli Farm; as a result, it gives an extra virgin olive
oil, whose acidity is always lower than half degree.
