The Farm is situated near the city centre San Paolo di Jesi and own roughly 9 hectares of land, of which 6,5 are vineyard.
The first plants was partly replaced in 1990, employing farming systems with a low grape production for each vinestock, managing techniques such as the thinning and the graduated vintage.
The experience of skilful vine growers, such as Amato and Maria Ceci, have urged their son Maurizio and his wife Serenella to start a careful selection of the produced wine.
The grapes which are selected during the vintage are transformed in wine separately, by means of proper techniques and soft technologies, in order to safeguard the whole quality of the grape.
According to this philosophy, in 1992 was born the Verdicchio "Vignamato", produced in a limited quantity, because just 90-100 quintals of the gathered grapes can assure the quality standards requested for this wine.
The perfect ripening, the wine-making, using the grapes taken from the first pressing, a slight natural racking followed by a fermentation at controlled temperature and the yeast ripening for two months, can give to this "CRU" wine the elegance, savour and softness, which afterwards get refined in the bottle for three years or more.
